Our Mission

Hairstylists for Humanity connects skilled professionals with communities experiencing hardship by creating volunteer opportunities—and making it easier to discover ways—to provide professional hair services to those who may not otherwise have access.

In the hair industry, we deeply value the impact we have on our clients’ lives. We achieve this through the personal connections we build with each person in our chair and through the transformative, “feel-good” services we provide.

Who We Are

Hairstylists for Humanity was born from one simple truth: a haircut can change everything.

For many people experiencing homelessness, poverty, or instability, access to professional hair services is often out of reach. Yet something as simple as a haircut can restore confidence, improve self-esteem, and help someone feel seen again.

Hairstylists for Humanity was created to bridge that gap—by connecting professional hairstylists with nonprofit organizations who serve communities in need.

By working alongside shelters, outreach programs, youth organizations, and community groups, we help create and foster spaces where people can receive care, conversation, and dignity through something as ordinary as a hair services.

Our Philosophy

We believe personal care is not a luxury—it is part of human dignity.

Hair services can play a vital role in helping someone:

  • Prepare for a job interview

  • Rebuild confidence

  • Reconnect with their identity

  • Feel respected and cared for
